A moving tale from history on how accurate translation can shed light on events

According to an article published on the Huffington Post website, a new perspective on the sinking of the Titanic has been revealed following the translation of a set of letters. We take a look at the article in today’s video.

It is reported that a set of letters apparently written by Rose Amelie Icard have been translated from French to English revealing a harrowing insight into the sinking of the Titanic.

According to reports, Icard was 83 at the time the letters were written and the translated letters have shown that the sinking of the ship was her most tragic memory. accurate-translation

A spokesperson for London Translations said recently…

“These translations provide a moving insight into the thoughts and feelings of passengers and crew involved in the historic tragedy. In doing so they demonstrate empirically the power of translation to make connections which would ordinarily be limited to native speakers of the language. The same is true in business. Reaching out to prospects in their native tongue is a sure-fire way to increase affinity leading to better business relationships and therefore sales”.
