Are translated services helpful for people in multicultural UK?
In today’s video, we discuss how Airedale Hospital has rolled out new language options in their feedback survey.
According to a report on The Telegraph and Argus website, Airedale hospital encourages patients to complete a survey to find out their thoughts on the standard of care they received. The postcards helping patients to complete the survey are now available in five other languages; Polish, Slovakian, Urdu, Bengali and Mandarin.
A spokesperson for London Translations said recently…
“In taking this initiative, Airedale Hospital are clearly hoping to increase the level of engagement by speaking to people in their own language. We predict a marked increase in response rates. Many of our business clients are pleasantly surprised by the increase in interest they enjoy when they present their products and services in their target market’s native language. We applaud those at the hospital responsible for the decision to go the extra mile to make it easy for people to communicate with them and feel sure it will pay dividends.”
